There is something to be said for this first point. If one of you has a cold, all you’re going to do is pass it to each other if you kiss. But if both of you are healthy, in many ways, kissing is a nature’s vaccine. Sharing spit transfers germs, which can ultimately help to improve your body’s line of defense against bacteria and viruses.
If all you’re planning on doing is giving a peck on the lips, this benefit will not apply. But if your intention is to have an impromptu make out session, watch out! Would you have ever thought that kissing helps to decrease tooth decay?
