The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped two places in the latest FIFA Ranking after their defeat to South Africa in Uyo.
Nigeria is now placed 40th in the world football ranking falling two spots from 38 after their poor outing in the month of June winning just one game in the three matches played (Togo, Senegal and South Africa).
The Gernot Rohr-led side are now ranked sixth in Africa falling behind the likes of Egypt, Senegal Congo, Cameroon and Burkina Faso in the ranking.
Germany lead the pack, claiming the first position after winning the European under 21 and the Confederations Cup while Brazil claim the second spot.
