
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has admitted that the new season will be a lot difficult for the Premier League champions following their loss at the Community Shield on Sunday.
The 25-year-old was part of the Blues team that fell to a shock defeat against Arsenal at Wembley stadium and feels the next season will be difficult for Chelsea after the level of transfer investments from their Premier League rivals.Kante said: ‘It’s going to be tough because a lot of teams have strengthened [this summer], which makes it more difficult, ‘The season starts next weekend and we have to be ready.’
‘I thought we played well,we scored the first goal and we were close to winning.
‘After Pedro’s red card they scored and it became more difficult for us. In the end they won on penalties, but when it’s like that you can win or you can lose.’
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has also come out to reveal his intentions to bring more talents to Stamford Bridge in order to replace a host of departed stars.
The league champions will kickstart their defence next Saturday with a game against Burnley.
